Many of you know that I love beachcombing and collect glass and pottery tumbled by the waves. Some of the prettiest is blue and white printed. Here (L) are a few pieces I’ve picked up.
Jonathan decided to surprise me with a jigsaw puzzle of blue and white pottery that he saw online. I’m sure it’s an outcome of his following mudlarks on social media. It was a challenge to put it all together. I worked on it regularly for over a month, and in the end, finished it up. All except the single missing piece which I expect to find in a corner one of these days. I enjoyed seeing the great variety of blue and white designs, and the ways that designs are reused in different ways on different shaped pieces and different kinds of pottery. The puzzle photos are not crisp-edged in a photorealist way. That would have made it easier, but I did get it in the end.
